York Region Donates Ambulance for Dialysis Patients in Guyana

The Vishnu Mandir’s Voice of the Vedas Global Care Outreach recently received a significant donation: a decommissioned ambulance from York Region Paramedic Services. This “life-saving gift,” as described by Dr. Budhendranauth Doobay, founder of the Doobay-Gafoor Dialysis Centre, is primarily destined for Guyana. In Guyana, the Global Care Outreach program specifically supports critical care for individuals suffering from kidney failure and vision impairment, with a key focus on the Doobay-Gafoor Dialysis Centre. The ambulance will provide timely and safe transportation, helping to reduce missed treatments and prevent life-threatening complications, ultimately promoting health equity. This initiative continues York Region’s program of donating well-maintained, decommissioned ambulances to organizations locally and globally, enhancing their capacity to serve communities in need.
